The Collector's Corner is an exclusive service of the Accurate Appraisals Partnership. Collector's Corner will be published weekly, containing short, yet fascinating articles pertaining to all manner of collectibles, services, clubs, and special eclectic auctions. Articles will be written by various expert collectors and authors, with a number of them being members of the AAP. We hope these articles will be both fun as well as informative, helping to enhance your antique experience.

3) Mr. Michael Cherney ; Michael is a skilled marketing and systems specialist who specializes in American & English eclectic pottery, European porcelain, antique & vintage toys, and all manner of cast iron banks, doorstops etc. Michael is a tremendous resource.
4) Ms. Mary McCaslin ; Mary is perhaps the world’s leading authority on Royal Bayreuth porcelain, having written the two definitive works on the subject. She recently also completed a masterwork on R.S. Prussia / Schlegelmilch porcelain W / Cobalt. She is a lovely lady and has been a tremendous help to the partnership.

5) Mr. John Wocher ; John has been a lifesaver for the AAP by qualifying all manor of vintage and antique Japanese items. Living outside of Tokyo, he is a kind & selfless gentleman whose expertise is so extensive that he also sits as a Japanese moderator on the world’s premiere (English Language) Oriental web site, Gotheborg http://www.gotheborg.com
Mr. Wocher is a class gentleman, and a wealth of Japanese history all rolled into one.
6) Mr. Gary Baldwin ; Gary is a wonderful gentleman who is another of our authors, having written perhaps the finest (2) references on Moser Artistic glass in history. His specialty is Victorian and latter era Bohemian glass.

7) Ms. Paula Tracey ; Paula is a lovely lady that has had her own antique shop for many years. Her passion and outstanding expertise are headed by her lifelong collection and study of Dolls. We have never known a more qualified person to identify your childhood treasures.
8) Ms. Gloria Arthur ; Gloria is a wonderful lady with a broad range of antique knowledge. She owns and operates the 3 story tall Bank St. Antique Mall in Decatur, Al. Gloria’s passion is furniture, and she has collaborated on several references. I have never known a better source for items from the 17th century all the way thru the US Empire period. Gloria’s experience is extensive, and can be of great benefit to anyone with furniture.
9) Ms. Ann Valverde and Fernando Valverde ; The Valverde’s are appraisers with years of experience in their own fine shop, with expertise ranging from virtually all Paintings, Portraits, and print media, to antique lamps, clocks, dolls and 18th to 19th century furniture. Fernando also specializes in antique clock refurbishing & repair. Ann & Fernando are lovely folks that can help you in a number of different ways.

10) Mr. Ed & Mrs. Virginia Perva
The Perva' s have been accomplished collectors and dealers for over 30 years in the fields of Elegant Glass (specializing in Heisey), Carnival glass, Depression glass, and American Pottery. Ed has both written and contributed to numerous articles, as well as collaborating on several major glass reference works. Ed & Virginia are wonderful people who will approach your qualification of your heirlooms with the same love and respect you yourself provide.

11) Mr. John and Candice Scherz ; John works with English & American Victorian Art glass, including opalescent and Cranberry items. Levels of expertise encompass Lamp work items (paperweights), Cruets, Epergnes, English semi-porcelain (flow blue) & transfer ware, firearms, militaria, and fine European and American porcelain. Candi specializes in Hummel, Lladro, Royal Doulton, and Occupied Japan figurines, as well as any type of vintage advertising media, Black memorabilia, and toys.

12) Mr. James L. Sapp; Jim Sapp must be considered one of the leading authorities on the heritage of one of the most ornate of all antique collectibles, the Fairy lamp. Mr. Sapp was one of the founders of the American based Fairy Lamp Club along with Pat & Bob Ruf in 1996. Since then, James has maintained the stewardship of the club, authoring over that period, 4 massive volumes of news letters and articles containing perhaps the finest historical and collecting data ever recorded pertaining to this very special art form.
